The remote places Buddhist monastery Bigu Gompa is a female monks temple located in the corner of Bigu Village. The monastery is completely destroyed from the earthquake so, it reforming again by some local and government donation. This bigu trek is the short form camping trek in Nepal where you can explore the remote monastery and real organic village in the Himalayan foothills, On the Bigu Gompa trek, financially, culturally and by heart we help to build the ancient Bigu Gompa with the purpose of resettlement of female Monks and nuns can stay and offer daily Buddhist practices again. the gompa is a formed of Buddhist art and panting and learning school of Buddhism for every foreigner and Nepali people. The Bigu Gompa is such a place for Meditation is just on the Himalayan high offer fresh winds and clear water.

The Bigu Gompa trek is one of short in Nepal hillsides, more cultural and less touristic trek lies east north region along the rolwaling valley trek. The named by a famous Buddhist Monastery Bigu. A Female Buddhism school and monastery you can visit and also spending some days to there with nuns as a volunteer tourist. The trek begins after the drive from Kathmandu to Sorung Khola via Charikot by bus or private drive. Following the very narrow local walking trail in one day you will reach Gibu Gompa. Warm welcoming by female Buddhist student nuns and view around the village is beautiful and breathtaking. A day excursion around Bigu and meet the local Sherpa people, following some of the ancient Buddhist stupas you feel as a Buddhist person. After the some days spending Monastery walk to Bara Bishe with in 2 Days via Dolongsha village just you will be tourist.

TRIP ITINERARY

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport, transfer to hotel, if early arrive short walk in Kathmandu city for refreshment. Evening welcome dinner.

Day city sightseeing in Kathmandu, visit some highlight of city, historical sites, Buddhist monastery and stupas, Hindu Temples and some of living culture with guiding service, hotel with B/B plan.

Morning drive to Sorung Khola by Bus/Jeep, a long road journey by road on dust and crowd. and Camp/Home Stay, meal.

About 4 to 5 hours uphill trek to Bigu Gompa community lodge or Monastery along the remote villages, river valley with suspension bridge crossing. Follow the Buddhist footsteps and many small chorten along the way. The bigu monastery also offer simple accommodation for tourist with simple meal.

An exploration day around Bigu Gompa, help rebuilding bigu monastery, visit the Nuns in Bigu Monastery, school and hiking around village

Trek to Dolangsa village via small pass. Trek about 4 to 5 hours along the jungle, great view of Mt. Gauri Shankhar mountain range, stay near by Sherpa village. Local house stay with local food.

Trek to Barabishe along the villages and paddy field, walk along the local vegetables farmers, Lunch in market then drive to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner, Hotel B/B plan.

Half Day sightseeing around, Visit some of the famous Kathmandu city by guide, leisure time for shopping and final pack up for back home. Kathmandu hotel with B/B plan.
