Fly to Simikot and short trek to Dharapuri Village.

Is depend on your good luck and need good weather. Early morning enter to Airport for simikot flight. The flight are always not on time. You might need to wait few hours. The 45 minute flight to Simikot you reach on 2700m. Simikot is Humla Capital. Meet the our support team, prepare the trek crew and after lunch we walk to Dharapuri village via Majhgaon within 3 to 4 hours. First hour, we pass a interesting places where local Humli people take bath and washing cloth on natural water tap. In there you see the real Humli face and community. Than continue uphill to Simikot hill where you can have panoramic view of All simikot Valley and Airport with the mountain and lost horizon. After a short break walk down to Majhgoan village via Seda village and along right bank of Karnali River. Karnali is Nepals Longest River, it source is Mt. Kailash and in India it became Gangas. After easy walk you reach in Dharapuri village. Just close form camp site you can have fresh mountian water river where you can wash and refresh your body by cleaning that water. Fixed camp and stay on Tented camp with full board meal and Tented toilet.

A biggest Monastery in route to Kailash from Simikot. Cross Salle la Pass and River. Today your journey goes to the salle pass with in 2 to hours walk along the dry landscape and pine forest. You can have great view of Mt. Saipal and Api Himal. Salle is small pass before reaching the salle Khole. People offer small stone to pass for blessing and wishing. Cross suspension bridge in Salle Khola and lunch along the river side. Than continue follow the Karnali river bank uphill to Yalbang take another 2 hours. Yalbang is another village where they offer community based school. Big Himalayan Buddhism School in Yalbang Monastery and Guru Rimpoche Monastery. Afternoon we visit the Monastery and learn about the Thanka Painting story form Monks. Attend for Evening Ceremony prayer celebration with Butter lamp. Visit the local community based school and stay on tented camp.

Begin Dry landscape and Alpine Zone. After short walk we reach small village Yanger. A join settlement houses village belong to farmer. Than narrow trail walk to Muchu village you will get swatting. Walk along the Karnali river and crossing the many local trader caravan with small pocket nice to see. Just before Muchu village cross karnali bridge and hike uphill to the top of village. Lunch, than a side trip to Tumkot village. Tumkot top village where you can visit ancient Buddhist Monastery and wide range of View. Trek to Yari follow the Tibetan Trail and new under construction road to Simikot form Tibet.

From here the vegetation will change and getting more dry, windy, less greenery views and finished the tree lines. Cross Tumkot River by suspension bridge, climb up about 1 hour than walk along the new under constriction road to Toria – SipSip. Where we stop for lunch. After continue walk to Yari village take another 3 hours. Today you need to climb more from 3100 to 3700 meter. Yari is the last village before crossing Nara -La pass and Tibet Border. Hilsa is another seasonal village people staying not always. Yari small divided 2 part. There is small school, many interesting Buddhist Stole Prayer walls, Colorful stuppas and yak villages. Nice farming land they grow Buckwheat and potatoes. You can have great view of sunset and the mountain view from campsite.

Side Trip from Yari Village –
If your plan is staying 1 more night in Yari village for Acclimatization there are few option for you to explore around. You may climb on the high point or walk to Yak yarder trail to Yak Kharka on the west Yari village. A day hiking brings you so close to the mountain nature point. Just few hour bustling hiking you will reach yak kharka where you will see many yaks farms with harder. Green landscape along the small river valley and icy cold windy area. Or if you climb on top can have better view of Saipal Mountain, down valleys and some time groups of mountain goats. Please dont forget to carry wind proof jackets and stick. Sometime can be very windy and step down there are not such trail, you need to follow yaks trail which are hard to walk down. If you take stick that help lot.

A challenge hike before entering to Tibet. Today is the big day for us before entering to Tibet. Early morning we pack up our camp and begin trek to Hilsa. Few hour steep ascent for Nara La pass where there are good views of Mt. Saipal, Tibetan Mountain range and out over the Tibetan Plateau to the Share village and Purang – Taklakot wide range. Descent don form the pass is on a dusty, slippery, rocky and snaky trail to Humla Karnali river Hilsa. In Hilsa there are few seasonal guest house and campsite.

After a short break in Morning, we cross the Karnali Bridge and enter to Tibetan Check point for Immigration process to Kailash.

After crossing Hilsa border, we meet our Tibetan Guide, driver and support team we drive to Purang for overnight stay at Tsu Gompa. On the way when possible visit famous Buddhist and Hindu Monastery Khojernath Teemple/Khojer Monastery one of the oldest monastery in Purang County. After finished the immigration process today we drive only about 120km to Mansarovar lake. It is our one of most highlighted part of the Kailash Journey. Drive to Mansarovar lake via Rakes Tal – Gorla Pass and ancient landscapes. In the drive you will see and cross many cave monastery just after the Purang village. The road goes form 3700 meter to 4500. Along the road you will cross many Tibetan Yaks, Goats and Sheep Harder, Caravans and Wild Horses, Dears, Tibetan Antelopes, Mountain Rabbits. The pass Gorla has own legend. Sand Color pass offer great view of Mt. Gorla Mandata on East. After few km. drive you will front of Rakshes /Rakes Tal. Where you can have first view of Mt. Kailash with green lake view. After short drive to top dry and windy place you can have great view of Mansarovar lake, Mt. Gorla Mandata, Mt. Kailash and wide range of Tibetan Plateau. Stop in near by Tsu Gompa on Camp/Guest house. After that, Self exploration to the holy kale, visit the Tsu Monastery and around.

Visit and travel around Tsu Gompa, Old Tibetan village, great view of Kailash and prayer walls, Hot spring and small excursion around the lake. Camp or Guest house.

Drive to Darchen and Trek to Derapuck monastery, Camp.

Saga Dawa Festival in Darboche – On the lap of Mt. Kailash. The festival celebrate the day Lord Sakyamuni Buddha was born, the day 15th of 4 month in Tibetan Calendar and the most important religious festival in West Tibet, achieved enlightenment and passed away. This auspicious day coincides with three important events in Buddhas life namely this birth, nirvana and parnirvana death. The whole ceremony is lead by a Highest position Lama form the nearby monastery and Tibetans and Buddhists gather here that day to attach their prayer flags they brought from home, to pray and to help erect the flagpole. By praying form group of Buddhist Lamas they change the Last year prayer flags and the pull up new holy pole in Darboche ground just front of Yama Dwar The gate to go to Haven Thousand of Tibetan Devotes visit with their wish and pray with 5 different color prayer flags, offer some food and flower.

Early Morning the holy journey goes up to Dolma-La pass 5630m. On the way great view of Kailash Parbat, Mt. Kailash North View, Shivatshal, Milerapa mediation stone, whole of good karma and bad karma, Blessing place and Parbati Kunda. Than step walk down to another south east kailash valley. After visiting Zutul Phu monastery, Pilgrimage trail trekking to Zhongdo. Is ending point of hiking. Many of hikers take car/jeep from here to Darchen, kora and sacred walk finished then drive to Mansarovar lake north side or Tsu Gompa, it depend on the Chinese rules and condition. Drive to Saga via Old Dongba along the Brahmaputra River side.

Today we pass one of beautiful part of kailash journeys. After parayang the landscape is like desert, cross small pass and drive along he brahmaputra river valley is amazing. A long drive after the kailash we reach to Saga. A small modern hub along the river bank. From here we drive south west to Nepal Border. Stay at good Hotel.

A bumpy road after cross the Brahmaputra river, we heading up to 5000 mtr passes and cross few lakes. Reach Jilong city and stay at Guest house. It s near by Kerung Border.

Short drive to Kerung Border and Immigration process, Enter Nepal and drive back to Kathmandu. A long drive and bumpy road take about 9 to 10 hours.
