How to Trek Mardi Himal?
The Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively less touristic hiking destination in Annapurna Region nearby Pokhara. The trek begins after a short drive from Pokhara to Kande or Phedi. The trek is short and a moderate hike goes up to 4,440m from 900m. It is just a perfect trek for a week-long adventure holiday. The trek is located East from Annapurna Base Camp and North from Pokhara.
Fixed departure trek to Mardi Himal in 2023 – Below option
The 12 days of trek goes along the Annapurna Base Camp Route via Dhampus or Australian Camp, and Pothana to Deurali. After that, follow the forest trail to Forest Camp slowly step up. The next day, keep continuing trek to Low Camp which is a fantastic day in forest. Overlooking Mardi Himal and Mountain Range with the Glory of sunshine, Evening sunset in Mt. Fishtail and Pokhara valley is memorable. Another day, you will hike up to Mardi High Camp which is our final goal and most important day during the trek. You will reach the highest point of this trek 4,440m. After that keep walking through the village Siding, Lwang and Khora Muk are popular traditional Gurung/Magar Villages where you can view 100 years of their culture and lifestyle.
Best time for Mardi Himal Trek
This trek is one of the short treks in Nepal and it goes up to 4,400m Mardi Himal Base Camp only. It means the trek can be done all the time of the year. Autumn and Spring season are the best time to trek Mardi Himal. During this period, the weather and temperature are mostly clean, clear and stable, and the forests are colorful and give a wonderful view of the Himalayas. However, it is not really recommended during the Monsoon and Winter seasons. Although, some people choose this time as well who want to avoid more crowds and love to hike lonely.

Trek to Forest Camp 2600m.
Trek to Forest Camp 2600m. Today we walk along the secret trail insight the forest, left the villages and main trails behind. The enchanted forest of Mountain Oak, Pine, Rhododendron and maple with the very much Orchid flowers, full time we walk off the beaten trail. In afternoon from guest house, you gone see dramatic view of Mt. Fishtail. It will became golden color form the white snowy peak . About 4 to 5 hours trek and enjoy with beautiful sunset B/L/D.
Trek to Badal Danda.
Trek to Badal Danda (Middle Camp) via Low Camp 3150m. Another great hiking along the dense forest include green orchids, mosses and lichen, the forest will be going more alpine and rocky. When you going more higher the view are more wider, closer and it bring fresh Himalayan winds. Blowing the winds in jungle look like a music. Grand view of Annapurna valley with Annapurna South Face, Hiunchuli and other relevant massif and more closer north view of Mt. Fishtail. We stop for lunch in Lho Camp and another 1 hours hike up to Badal danda for spend night. About 4 to 5 hours hike. B/L/D.
Badal danda to High Camp. 3550m.
Badal danda to High Camp. 3550m, Going high and high near to Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre and grand view. Another great place to see the mountain view and valley. If good weather, you can have fantastic sunset and sunrise view including Annapurna summit 9096 m. Today we walk only 2 hours. Rest time we explore around and enjoy with nature and beauties. B/L/D.
Trek to Mardi Himal High Camp.
Trek to Mardi Himal High Camp 4440m above, walk about 8 hours day trips and back to High Camp. Great view of Mardi Himal, Mt. Fish Tail and other Annapurna Range including Mt. Annapurna. Get very close form Fishtail and view of Pokhara valley. B/L/D.
Trek down to Siding Village.
Trek down to Siding Village . A Gurung ethical village, where you can explore the authentic culture and lifestyle. About 6 to 7 hours trek . All the way down trails to 1900m. Family owned guest house. B/L/D.
Trek to Lwang Village 1500m.
Trek to Lwang Village 1500m. About 5 hours. Gradually mixed easy trail along the jungle with view of Pokhara valley. In March and April you will enjoy with rhododendron flower. Stay at family owned community lodge. Explore village around. Evening culture show by local women group. You can wear gurung dress to experience their tradition and enjoy with traditional delicious food. B/L/D.
Trek down to Khora Muk about 2 hours.
