Lower Dolpo is combined zone of ancient trading center in the west remote area of Nepal, the area occupied by Tibetan Buddhism followers, ethical remote villages, wild nature and landscapes up to 5000 meters passes, turquoise lake Phoksundo with the famous Himalayan Natural Herbal Viagra – Cordyceps sinesis or Yarchagumba territories in West Nepal to Tibetan Border. Still Dolpo region still remote and non-developed region. Dolpo Circuit is a fully Camping trek till the high passes Numa-La and Baga-La and some of the villages you may use local guest house and have test their traditional Dolpali taste as well. Lower Dolpo is relatively less touristic and off beat track in the shadow of High Himalaya Mt. Dhaulagiri and lap of the Kanjiroba Mountain range. The breathtaking view of vibrant nature, flowers, wildlife, lakes and live Tibetan Buddhist culture and tradition from Tibet still it present 100 years back. Make some side trip around the Phoksundo Lake, Monastery Excursions, Temple Visiting and Bonpo shrines monasteries make an insightful time.

For this trek, you need take two domestic flight from Kathmandu to Juphal via Nepalgunj and connect with local crew team for trekking. A Special trek permit for lower dolpo is required and need to pay Shey Phoksundo National Park Entry fees.

Arrival, Welcome to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Explore Kathmandu heritage tour and transfer to domestic Airport, Evening flight to Nepaljung, West Nepal. Hotel

Day 3

Morning, flight to Juphal Airport and short hike to Dunai bazaar. City of Dolpa Destrict. Guest house.

Day 4

Explore Dolpo trek to Tarakot.

Day 5

Trek from Tarakot to Mushi Kharka.

Day 6

Trek from Musikharka to Kakoat Village.

Day 7

Kakot to Pingdhing village hiking.

Day 8

Trek to Shabha Kharka

Day 9

Trek to Papta Chalna Base Camp.

Day 10

Chalna Pass 5230m and trek to Takyo village.

Day 11

Rest day after the Chalna pass and around.

Day 12

Trek to Numala Base Camp.

Day 13

Cross Numala Pass 5200m and camp at Bagala Pass Base Camp.

Day 14

Cross Bagala Pass and 5100m and camp at Yak Kharka.

Day 15

Trek to Phoksundo lake via Rongmo village (Jewels of Dolpo region) Camp/Guest House

Day 16

Rest day at Phoksundo lake – Explore around lake and enjoy amazing Nature.

Day 17

Trek to Chhepka village.

Day 18

Trek back to Juphal.

Day 19

Morning fly to Nepaljung – Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 20

Free day in Kathmandu self exploration on foot, visit market, relax. Hotel.

Day 21

Free and final departure. Transfer to Airport or onward destination.

I did the ABC trek with Bashu and it was just fantastic! Bashu is fluent in English and German and had in depth knowledge on all related questions that our group had on our trek. I will certainly come back to Nepal again and would book another trip with him in a heartbeat!

Last December 2015/January 2016 we made the 18 days EBC trek, together with guide Kumar of Nepal Footprint Holidays and our porter Sudeep. Both great guys!! We had a marvellous time and food and lodges were a perfect arrangement! Chitwan was a hell of a ride, but worth it. Parkland Hotel in Chitwan was 100 % the right choise!

Nepal Footprint might be a small company but nevertheless excellent! 10/10 we would contact them again for the ABC trek Annapurna in the future!!

I went several time in Nepal and I always take Nepal Footprint Holidaz Trek. Everything was amazing every time and I can not advise some one to go with an other agency.
