Discover the abode of Shiva, Jewels of Snow or the center of Universe

This tour to Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar and Guge Kingdom is a spiritual journey that prioritizes Cultural and the Religious Heritages of Tibet.  We begin our Kailash Guge Kingdom Tour from Kathmandu that winds across the highway on the Roof of the world all the way to the home of supreme God Shiva as per Hindu myth and the Center of Universe as per the Buddhists.

Starting from Kathmandu, we enter Tibet via Nepal – China border at Kodari. Crossing over  elevated passes that cater the scenic views of Tibetan landscapes and Himalayan giants, we also experience rich Tibetan culture during the stopover point Saga, Parang, Dongba before we reach to the Holy Lake, Manasarovar.

Nestling at the southwest wilderness of Tibet, it is the most beautiful and the most revered elevated lake of entire world. Despite hiding somewhere in far-flung Tibetan territory pilgrims’ throng to this revered site from across the world to endure all the hardships while circumnavigating 52 kilometers circuit around the Mount Kailash that sprawls right above the lake. The circumambulation of the mountain includes crossing across high passes. Devotees believe that going around the holy mountain is the biggest dharma one can do in his entire life.

After the exploration of Kailash-Mansarovar, the tour now extends towards Guge Kingdom. The ancient kingdom having Tsaparang, as its former capital has the ruins of Tholing and Tsaparang monasteries. Explore the ancient civilization of Tibet at Guge and drive back to Manasarovar. From Lake Mansarovar, we drive via Tibetan towns on the Friendship Highway and arrive at Kathmandu to end the most revered tour to the Himalayas.

I did the ABC trek with Bashu and it was just fantastic! Bashu is fluent in English and German and had in depth knowledge on all related questions that our group had on our trek. I will certainly come back to Nepal again and would book another trip with him in a heartbeat!

Last December 2015/January 2016 we made the 18 days EBC trek, together with guide Kumar of Nepal Footprint Holidays and our porter Sudeep. Both great guys!! We had a marvellous time and food and lodges were a perfect arrangement! Chitwan was a hell of a ride, but worth it. Parkland Hotel in Chitwan was 100 % the right choise!

Nepal Footprint might be a small company but nevertheless excellent! 10/10 we would contact them again for the ABC trek Annapurna in the future!!
