After the new road access, the 180 kilometer circle of Annapurna trek beginning point shifted to Jagat from Bashishar town in the Marshuangdi River. Traversing through the forested regions, farmlands, and canyons formed by the Marsyangdi River, the trek emerges frequently to culturally rich villages. Places to visit in Annapurna Circuit Trek

Manang Village

Manang is a village in the corner of Annapurna circuit trek route located at 3519 m along the Marshyangdi river bank. Manang village is culturally rich and it has few Buddhist temples, offer sunning view of Himalayas, glacial lakes, Yak farms and celebrate various Buddhist and Hindu festival during the. Manang is a gateway of Thorong –La pass, Tilicho Lake, chulu peak climb and hub of local business for Mamang people and trekkers. Most of Annapurna explorers stop extra night in here to get acclimatize for high altitude and for a side/day trips around mountain side.

Thorong La Pass

Thorong-La pass 5545 m. is highest summit of Annapurna Trek and every tourist dreaming and local traders regularly use this pass to complete the whole circle of AC. The pass is located on a trail that connects the Manang village to the east with the Muktinath temple in the Mustang district to the west. However, a night spend in Thorong Phedi is recommended before attempting to hike Thorong-La pass. Due to bad weather some time Thorong La pass trek is a risk of Avalanches, frostbite, and storm.

Muktinath Temple

Muktinath is great Vishnu Temple, a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhist pilgrims. Probably most visited attraction in Annapurna circuit route. Located in Mustang District at an altitude of 3810 m, the most suitable time to visit Muktinath is from March to May and September to November as the weather conditions are not safe in other months. It is one of best view point to see the upper and lower section of Mustang and Mt.Dhaulagiri range.

Hot Spring – Tatopani

The natural hot spring is located at the bank of Kaligandaki River in Tatopani village. It is one of most popular stop in the route of Annapurna circuit trek. There is well managing natural pools, people get hot bath relaxing from the natural hot spring. The place is also famous for organic orange and fresh juice and rural tourism.

Poon Hill – Sunrise View

Poon Hill is 3210 m height hill station overlooking Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri Massif in route of around Annapurna trekking. Poonhill is Nepal’s top and best short trek dictation. Wanderers simply join 3 to five days trek from Pokhara. The hill provides an opportunity to witness the scenic mountain sunrise views over Mt. Annapurna and Mt.Dhaulagiri . Trekkers hike along stone stairs through the rhododendron forest for 1 hour to reach pun hill early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise views. During the peak trekking seasons, the area is quite crowded with the trekkers taking photographs, witnessing the views from the view tower, and taking coffee in the coffee shop. To go Poon Hill Hike tourist need to pay 50 Rupees as entrance fee.

Day 3 Drive to Bashishar -Jagat

Drive to Bashishar 6 hours, another drive to Jagat village along the marshyangdi river valley and villages via bulbule and syange, local lodge.

Day 4 Trekking to Dharapani village

Trekking to Dharapani village through old Annapurna trekking trail via Chamje and Tal, local lodge in Dharapani.

Day 5 Trekking to Chame the gateway of Manang valley via Tamang village

Trekking to Chame the gateway of Manang valley via Tamang village where you can have beautiful view of Mt. Manaslu Himalayan ranges, stay in lodge.

Day 6 Trekking to Pisang Village

Trekking to Pisang Village, lodge, full board meal. A beautiful walking along the Marshyangdi river and alpine forest. You will slowly climb few hundred meter easily. After arrive in Dhukur Pokhara a hot lunch in local restaurant with the view of Mt. Tilicho, Mt. Annapurna II, Khangshar Peak, Pisang Peak, Chulu East and far east peak and Thorong la peak nice to see with Dal Bhat.

Day 7 Trekking to Manang

Trekking to Manang via upper Annapurna view route Ghyaru village and upper pisang village, great Annapurna Himalaya view from high place, lodge in manang.

Day 8 Rest day at manang valley for acclimatize

Rest day at manang valley for acclimatize before crossing thorong la pass on the Annapurna circuit, This day we climb high and sleep low. Go uphill to the Cave monastery to see the great view of Mt. Annapurna range and step down to manang village, explore village. Evening Yak Steak or Yak Cheese in Manang.

Day 9 Trekking to Yak Kharka. Walk about 3 to 4 hours

Day 10 Trekking to Thorong-La pass Phedi

Trekking to Thorong-La pass Phedi. Hike about 3 to 4 hours. Get high altitude experience, hiking to High camp 4900 meter and back to Phedi. Guest House.

Day 11 Big day climb thorong la pass and trek down to muktinath kaligandaki valley

Big day climb thorong la pass and trek down to muktinath kaligandaki valley. Early Morning after hot tea and hot breakfast our thorong La pass journey heading to Pass. Steep climb up to high camp along the narrow trail and rocky. Short break and continue heading up to Thorong La pass it takes another 3 to 4 hours. Breathtaking view and picture and descent down to Muktinath with the view of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mustang Himalayas another 4 hours. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Day 12 Trekking to Jomsom via Lubra village

Trekking to Jomsom via Lubra village visit the only Bon culture monastery in Mustang. Walk with dusty and panoramic view of Mt. Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peak with the strong wind in Kaligandaki valley. Jomsom is capital of Mustang. Spend night in Puthang.

Day 13 Trekking to Kalopani village via old kaligandaki caravan route

Trekking to Kalopani village via old kaligandaki caravan route. Cross the suspension bridge after Marpha village, visit the Buddhist Tibetan camp and apple farms. Trekking to Tatopani via old Annapurna classic trek trail, follow the newly developed alternative trek route to Ghasa village along the pine forest, narrow trail with fascinating view of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Walk along the Gurung and Magar villages in Kaligandaki valley, enjoy waterfall and flowers, evening enjoying in natural hot spring.

Day 15 Trekking to Ghorepani for Pun hill panorama view point

Trekking to Ghorepani for Pun hill panorama view point, lodge in Ghorepani. Today long uphill hike, passing many villages, Ghara, Shikha and Chitre, rhododendron forest and some of monkeys on trail. Evening Sunset view of Mt. Annapurna South.

Day 16 Early morning hiking to Poon hill - Nayapul

Early morning hiking to Poon hill for mountain sunrise view and trek down to Nayapul. All the descent trek, passing dens forest, villages and we left the Annapurna Himalayas behind. Than drive back to Pokhara.

Day 17 Fly or Drive to Kathmandu

Fly or Drive to Kathmandu, free time in Kathmandu city hotel B/B plan.
