Baruntse Expedition

Mt. Baruntse 7129m is technically one of the most difficult peaks to climb in the entire world. Coil Todd and Geoff Harrow were the first climbers to overcome the great challenge to summit this beautiful peak in Everest Region back in 1954. Mt. Baruntse is tucked in between two Himalayan giants, Everest and Makalu. Most of the climbers, who have accomplished the expedition to the top of Mt. Baruntse climbed via the trail on southwest ridge. Our Expedition treads the same popular trail. However, the peak has also been conquered through the trails of Arun Valley that stretches to Makalu Base Camp

Our Mt. Baruntse Expedition begins with the scenic flight to Lukla and almost two weeks of trek acclimatizing and exploring the natural and cultural delights of Everest Region we arrive to the Base Camp of Baruntse. On our acclimatization process, we bother to explore the sacred Paach Pokhari 5200m , which lies in the close proximity to Baruntse Base Camp.

The steep section of ice cliffs that incline at 50 degree with the high risk of avalanche, climbers are suggested to climb this beautiful peak during spring, which has the ideal weather for Baruntse Expedition. Autumn is also a wonderful season for undertaking this adventurous feat.

Our expert mountain guides, top-notch trekking gears and equipment and throughout communication for the timely backup could make your Baruntse Expedition in Nepal the most thrilling and memorable alpine adventure in the Himalayas.
