Trip Overview

The Tibet Highlight Tour is a complete tour of Tibet that shows Lhasa’s popular attractions and important locations around the city of Lhasa. However, the Tibetan Highlight Tour begins with an exploration of the most important monuments of the Tibetan capital. Lhasa includes tours of historic buildings such as the vibrant Barkor Square, the majestic Potala Palace, and the dreaded monasteries of Deprung, Sera Ganden and Norbulingka.
Main Features of Tibet Highlight Tour are:
- You will have the opportunity to explore Samye Monastery, Tibet’s first monastery
- Discover the city of Lhasa with all the attractions, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkor Street
- The highlight of the tour is the Everest Base Camp on the Tibetan side
Then our tour begins to go beyond Lhasa. We explore beautifully located sacred Namtso Lake, which has a very huge religious significance in Tibet after Mansarovar Lake. We also take an opportunity to explore the first monastery in Tibet, Samye Monastery. The final part of the Tibet Highlight Tour drives across Friendship Highway to explore the Tibetan cities and the major landmarks within them.
We explore the cities like Gyantse and Shigatse via Karo La Pass, which caters to the exceedingly beautiful view of Yam Drok Tso Lake. In Gyantse, our tour takes us to 14th century Gyantse Dzong and revered Kumbum Monastery. Similarly, Shigatse prides on Tshilumpo Monastery. The final highlight of the tour is the Everest Base Camp of the Tibetan side. We will also explore the highest altitude monastery of the world, the Rongbuk Monastery while exploring Everest Base Camp.
Best Time for Tibet Highlight Tour
The best time to visit Tibet is all the year, when the summer sun melts snow and roads and high passes are available. Come in the fall for fiery leaves, or in the spring for wildflower carpets. But if you’re just going to Lhasa, don’t forget winter. It’s time for the Himalayan snow to create a magical scene and bargain prices are available.
Book Tibet Highlight Tour and make sure you will explore all the major highlights of Tibet, the country known for Mysticism and Buddhism.
